為協助受嚴重特殊傳染性肺炎疫情影響之僑(外)生在臺安心就學,教育部接受捐助獎學基金會接受民間捐款提供獎助學金。依捐款人指定之捐助對象及用途,以受疫情影響生活之緬甸僑生為優先,申請資格及發放原則如下:

(一)申請資格
1、在臺大專校院攻讀學位之僑(外)生(含國立臺灣師範大學僑生先修部先修生),不含具學籍但於境外以遠距授課方式就讀之僑(外)生。
2、就讀二年級以上者,其108學年之全學年學業成績平均及格(109學年度新生免附)。
3、於大專校院未受申誡以上之懲處。
4、曾於109學年度期間工讀之相關證明。
5、109學年度期間已依其他規定領取政府提供之獎學金、學雜費補助、減免或助學金者,不得申領本獎助學金。
6、109學年度期間已領取就讀學校核發之獎助學金者,不得申領本獎助學金。
7、近三個月(110年4月至6月)已領取校友會、同學會或其他民間團體相關捐款4,000元以上者不得申領本獎助學金。

(二)發放原則:
1、名額:約240名。由教育部召開會議審查,並依捐款人指定以緬甸僑生為優先。
2、額度:每人定額一次核發新臺幣5,000元。

MOE Scholarship for overseas Chinese students and international students Affected by the COVID-19

In order to assist overseas students affected by COVID-19, MOE accepts donations from the public to provide scholarships and grants for overseas students.
In accordance with the donor’s designated target and purpose, priority will be given to Myanmar students affected by COVID-19.

(A) Eligibility
1、Overseas Chinese students and international students who are studying for a degree at a college or a university in Taiwan, excluding those who are enrolled in a distance-learning program outside of Taiwan.
2、Students who are enrolled in their second year or above and have passed the average GPA for both Fall 2019 & Spring 2020 semesters ( Freshmen of Fall 2020 and/or Spring 2021 are exempted).
3、Haven’t been under the disciplinary action above the admonishment level in the college or university.
4、Relevant proof of work-study jobs during the Fall 2020 and/or Spring 2021.
5、Those who have received any other scholarship, subsidy, tuition fee waiver/remission or grant from the government during the Fall 2020 and/or Spring 2021 are NOT eligible to apply for this scholarship.
6、Those who have received any scholarship and grant from their schools during the Fall 2020 and/or Spring 2021 are NOT eligible for this scholarship.
7、Those who have received donations of $4,000 or more from any alumni association, reunion or other private organization in the past three months (from this April to June 2021) are NOT eligible for this scholarship.

(B) Selection Process
1. Quota: 240 recipients in total among all universities/colleges in Taiwan . The Ministry of Education will hold a meeting to review and will give priority to Myanmar students at the fund donor’s discretion.
2. Amount: NT$5,000 per recipient for one disbursement.
