【Event Highlights】 Visit from Srinakharinwirot University
On August 11, 2026, the College of Sports and Recreation welcomed a delegation from the Faculty of Physical Education, Sports and Health at Srinakharinwirot University (SWU), our college-level partner school.The College has maintained a strong and long-standing partnership with Srinakharinwirot University. Following reciprocal visits in 2018 and 2019, the two institutions officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in 2021. With SWU’s former Faculty of Physical Education recently renamed the Faculty of Physical Education, Sports and Health, this visit provided an opportunity for both sides to discuss renewing the academic cooperation agreement and to explore a new framework for continuing and further strengthening our partnership.
The delegation was led by Dean Tanormsak Senakham of the Faculty of Physical Education, Sports and Health and included 17 faculty and staff members. Dean Tzyy-Yuang Shiang of the College of Sports and Recreation welcomed the delegation and invited 11 faculty members from the College to join the meeting. Both sides introduced their respective academic strengths, teaching programs, and research achievements, followed by lively discussions on potential areas of collaboration, including joint research.
Following the meeting, NTNU ambassadors accompanied the delegation on a campus tour, introducing various facilities and sports venues around the university. The visit provided the guests with a closer look at NTNU’s teaching and research environment, as well as its development in sport science research, high-performance sport training, and health promotion.
Through this meaningful and in-depth exchange, both sides gained a deeper understanding of each other’s academic strengths, research expertise, and educational approaches. We look forward to building upon this strong foundation, developing more substantive opportunities for collaboration, and further strengthening the long-standing friendship and partnership between NTNU and Srinakharinwirot University.
