[Event Highlights] Welcoming Visiting Scholar from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore
From October 26 to November 9, 2025, the College of Sports and Recreation (CSR) is delighted to host Dr. Chian Lit Khoon Zason from our partner institution, Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore.Dr. Chian, who serves as Deputy Head and Senior Lecturer at the Physical Education and Sports Science Department (PESS), National Institute of Education (NIE), NTU, arrived in Taiwan on October 26 to begin his short-term academic visit. On October 28, he met with Dean Prof. Tzyy-Yuang Shiang and Prof. Yu-Kai Chang, Chair of the Department of Physical Education and Sports Sciences (PESS), for a warm and engaging discussion.
Their conversation covered topics such as the future development of the college, international research collaboration, and strategies for attracting global talents. The meeting provided valuable insights from different perspectives, inspiring new ideas for both sides.
To support Dr. Chian’s research and exchange, the Department of Physical Education and Sports Sciences arranged a dedicated office for him during his stay. The visit also brought a wonderful reunion with Prof. Chih-Fu Cheng, who had led the Elite Athletes College delegation to NTU earlier in March. Prof. Cheng warmly invited Dr. Chian to visit his research room for further academic interaction and collaboration.
Dr. Chian’s two-week visit is expected to deepen the bond between NTNU and NTU, fostering meaningful connections among faculty and students while opening new opportunities for future academic collaboration. Let’s warmly welcome Dr. Chian and make his stay both fruitful and memorable!
