The 114th National Intercollegiate Athletic Games (NIAG) tennis competition concluded on May 1. NTNU sophomore Lin Fang-An earned two silver medals in women’s singles and doubles. Lin shared that the team has great chemistry, with everyone supporting one another, which boosts morale during matches.
Battled her close friend Yang Ya-Yi in the singles final, defeated, Lin stated: “My opponent was once Taiwan’s top player—I really appreciated this match.”
Coach Lin Dai-Chiao noted that Lin is a professional player and a key team member, and praised the progress of the entire women’s team.
Lin’s doubles partner Cheng Chu-Yun had to withdraw due to injury. Lin said she fully supports her partner’s difficult decision.
Likely to compete in the World University Games, Lin encouraged younger teammates to enjoy their time on the team and stay committed to training.
