The latest World’s Top 2% Scientists list was announced on October 10. 14 faculty members from National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU) were listed on the Lifetime Scientific Impact list and 24 faculty members were listed on the Annual Scientific Impact list, the research results are widely recognized internationally.
Stanford University has recently released an update of the list that represents the top 2 percent of the most-cited scientists in various disciplines. The report was prepared by a team of experts led by Prof. John Ioannidis, the eminent Professor at Stanford University. It is based on six key indicators: total citations, Hirsch h-index, Schreiber Hm-index, with emphasis on single, first and last authorship. It is based on the bibliometric information contained in the Scopus database and includes about 200,000 researchers considered to be active worldwide, with 22 scientific fields and 176 subfields taken into account.The Career-long data are updated to September 2021 and the researchers are listed in two lists: career-long impact (1960-2021) and single year impact(2021).
According to the Office of Research and Development of National Taiwan Normal University, a total of 28 professors and researchers of NTNU are listed in the two lists, demonstrating the outstanding contributions of NTNU faculty members in the international academic community over the years.
