114th National University Games: NTNU Brings Home 97 Medals, Shining with Passion and Strength for the Future!
The Year 114th National University Games ended on May 2nd, with the NTNU team wining 28 golds, 30 silvers, and 39 bronzes. The team also secured top rankings at 20 events in both the open and general categories. Swimmer Wang Guan-Hong and weightlifter Chen Wen-Huei set national records, while Hsu Liang-Yu from the Department of Leisure, Recreation, and Tourism created a historical record of five consecutive golds in competitive gymnastics!
This year’s National University Games were held at Chang-Jung Christian University and various venues in Tainan City, with 145 universities sending their top athletes. Nearly 10,000 competitors competed in 21 events. NTNU sent a delegation of 333 athletes from various clubs such as fencing and judo, along with 100 faculty and staff.
