International students who take courses under the GPE (Graduate Program in English) curriculum structure may not be restricted by the compulsory and core courses regulated by the Department. However, students have to take at least 15 credits of the courses listed on the GPE Curriculum of the Master’s program of the Department. For the rest 15 credits, students may select EMI (English as a Medium of Instruction) courses offered by NTNU or other universities.

Interview of the 2025 Fall Semester will be held on 2025/03/19 (Wednesday) at Main Campus I (Main Campus I). Detailed timeline will be announced on the department website on 2025/03/14 (Friday). No other notifications will be sent.

The curriculums are designed to combine sports science theories with practical training, enhance training efficiency and quality, improve physical fitness and sports skills, and achieve international competitive levels. The department has a diverse learning environment and experienced international and national-level teachers. Therefore, we are committed to providing extensive and in-depth academic knowledge and sports skills training. In response to the current development trend of the sports industry, we have established a “Strength and Conditioning Training Program”. Through the concepts of interdisciplinary learning, students are trained to have the theory and practical application in strength and conditioning training, thus increasing their future employment competitiveness.

  • Introduction:
    • Athletic Performance Division: This division aims to enhance and extend the sports careers of elite athletes through scientific training using organization and event-group theories. Use sports science research methods to create a well-established teaching and training environment, enabling students to perfect their sports skills and compete in the international games, and bring glory to our school and country. In addition to education and training during students’ athletic careers, the department also focuses on retirement management and planning for athletes after they retire. We are committed to providing a comprehensive support system such as elite teachers, complete facilities and sports science equipment to cultivate elite sports coaches and scientists.
    • Exercise and Sport Science Division: This division aims to cultivate professionals in sports sciences, design and technology, and strength and conditioning training. To provide learning opportunities in sports sciences, interdisciplinary studies and industry collaboration, we have well equipped laboratories, including Sport Technology laboratory, Sports Physiology laboratory and Sports Performance laboratory.
    • The Sports Technology laboratory is dedicated to developing innovative sports/exercise products, including wearable equipment and gears, and data analysis tools, to improve sports performance and training efficiency. Students participate in the entire product life cycle, from conception and design to manufacturing, developing innovation and problem-solving skills to meet future needs of the sports industry market. The Sports Physiology and Sports Performance laboratories feature advanced measurement equipment to monitor the physiological, biochemical, and biomechanical indicators in real time, providing a solid scientific foundation and training basis for sports competition. We are committed to integrating scientific research methods with practical training, bridging the gap between theory and practice, optimizing sports performance, and cultivating professionals in sports science, design and technology, and strength and conditioning training.
