College of Sports and Recreation recently welcomed Mgr. R<\/span>adek \u0160\u00edp<\/span><\/span>, a lecturer from the Faculty of Sports Studies at Masaryk University, Czech Republic. His visit (July 4\u2013August 4) was part of the 2025 UAAT International Young Visiting Scholar Program.<\/span><\/div><\/div>
\u00a0<\/span><\/div><\/div>
Following the MOU signed between the between 12 institutions of the University Academic Alliance in Taiwan and a similar Czech coalition of 13 universities, NTNU has actively built ties with Masaryk University. <\/span><\/div><\/div>
\u00a0<\/span><\/div><\/div>
Masaryk University has invited faculty and students from CSR to participate in two upcoming events: the 4th International Week this October and the 14th International Conference on Kinanthropology scheduled for December. Through exploring diverse possibilities for international exchange, both institutions are actively working to create a high-quality academic environment, enhance interaction between faculty and students and top-tier global universities, and establish a sustainable platform for international research collaboration and talent cultivation.<\/span><\/div><\/div>

During his stay, Mgr. \u0160\u00edp gave 2 public lectures. The first lecture explored the historical development of Brno and Masaryk University, while the second introduced an interdisciplinary study on the “freeze response” to acute stress, combining scenario design, brain imaging, and physiological data.<\/span><\/div><\/div>
\u00a0<\/span><\/div><\/div>
Besides visiting NTNU\u2019s Heping campus, he also sat down with Mr. Liu (Director of Office of International Affairs) and was invited to join the 2025 Taiwan-Czech Higher Education Forum. His visit marks the first hands-on exchange between the two schools under this program.<\/span><\/div><\/div>

Thanks to the exchange program, a promising future of long-term collaboration in sports science awaits young and rising scholars.
