Masaryk University, founded in 1919 and named after the first president of Czechoslovakia, has played a vital role in shaping the city\u2019s identity and academic landscape.<\/p><p>In this lecture, I will guide you through the historical evolution of both the city and the university, with a special focus on the Faculty of Sports Studies and the development of psychology as a field within Masaryk University. From the early days of nation-building to today\u2019s interdisciplinary research and international collaboration, we will explore how these institutions grow and adapt, and how they shape the students and researchers they host.
