\nNTNU Pandemic Safety Measures Announcement<\/p>\n

COVID Prevention Measures for 2021-2022 Academic Year (Sept 9, 2021)<\/p>\n

Per Official Document No. 1100121132 of the Department of Higher Education (MOE) dated Sept. 7, 2021 announcing the Guidelines for the Management of COVID-19 in the 2021-2022 Academic Year of Colleges and Universities, the school is taking the following prevention measures.<\/p>\n

1.Classes: All classes will be conducted remotely in the first three weeks of the semester (Sept. 22 to Oct. 12) in view of the difficulties of controlling the number of students in classrooms from the add\/drop procedures. For more details, refer to the announcement on the Office of Academic Affairs website.<\/p>\n

2.Gatherings: The max. number of people should be 80 indoors and 300 outdoors. Follow CDC’s Guidelines for Public Gatherings Under COVID-19.<\/p>\n

3.Disinfection & cleaning: Keep classrooms well-ventilated. Increase cleaning the disinfection frequency.<\/p>\n

4.Dining halls: Implement the real-name system, put partitions in dining areas, frequently clean & disinfect the environment, and maintain social distancing.<\/p>\n

5.Campus dorms:
\n1) Implement access control, temperature check, personal counseling, health education promotion, replenishment of prevention materials, regular disinfection, as well as maintain ventilation and social distancing or wear masks.
\n2) The school provides at-home COVID self tests for residential students to use and report the results, but self-test is not mandatory.<\/p>\n

6.Libraries will resume the opening hours during the semester starting on September 22 for NTNU faculty, students, alumni, and Tri-Library Loan Service users. You should wear a mask at all times and comply with the pandemic protocols. For details, refer to the library website.<\/p>\n

7.Campus health monitoring:
\n1) Comprehensive temperature check, real-name system and mask wearing throughout the campus.
\n2) During the self-health management period after home quarantine ends, DO NOT enter the campus to attend classes or go to crowded places. Always take personal precautions.
\n3) If you’ve been to locations visited by the confirmed cases announced by the CDC or you’ve been notified to undergo home isolation\/quarantine\/self-health management, please voluntarily fill out the Reporting System for Following Up on Persons at Risk of Infection.
\n4) If you have pneumonia or are experiencing fever, respiratory symptoms, abnormal smell\/taste, unexplained diarrhea or other suspected symptoms of infection, please voluntarily fill out the Self-reporting System for Fever or Other Symptoms.<\/p>\n

8.The school provides at-home COVID self tests for residential students, overseas students, and those on official duties with high exposure to infection to perform self test as needed.<\/p>\n

1.Campus entry access control will be enforced from 08:00 to 18:00 on working days: Real-name system is in place. You are only allowed to enter if you have a Day Pass, scan QR code at the gates, present an NTU System School ID or a proof of business visit and pass the temperature check.<\/p>\n

2.Campus is open to the public during non-working hours from 06:00 to 08:00, 18:00 to 22:00, weekends and public holidays, but only if they cooperate with school\u2019s access control protocol.<\/p>\n

3.Field and Track Side Entrance (near the platform) & Car Park entrance on Main Campus I are only open during working hours from 08:00 to 09:00 and from 17:00 to 18:00, and are closed rest of the week. Real-name system applies.<\/p>\n

4.Side entrance to the postgraduate dormitory on Gongguan Campus will be closed for the time being.<\/p>\n
